Plot Summary:

                As war raged all over the globe, people everywhere were doing what they could to assist. This book covers the time period of 1932 to 1945, the last year of WWII. It focuses on the battles being fought in the Pacific region, mostly between Japan and the Allies. This book tells the stories of 15 courageous women who made a difference in the War effort. From feeding POWs, serving as battlefield nurses, to assisting the resistance however they could; these women helped to shape the course of the world. Inspiring and grisly, this novel is rated for children 14 and up due to some of the graphic nature of war. This is an amazing read for anyone interested in learning more about WWII, or for anyone who is looking for a piece of women’s literature. As someone who enjoys reading WWII nonfiction, I loved this book. These are some of the heroes who helped the allies win the War, but are seldom discussed despite their amazing stories.
